We invite all visitors and guests to wander at will amongst our hosta gardens, which are a labour of love.
The hostas thrive in a large woodland garden surrounding a quaint old woolshed and for much of the last century, this area served as a holding paddock for the sheep yards, so the soil is rich in blood and bone and compost!

A lovely meandering creek wanders around the perimeter of the gardens, creating a lush, cool haven from the hot Otago summer sun and a wonderful home for birdlife.

Our gardens are very popular with visiting groups and garden clubs and we delight in watching others enjoy all of our hard work.
The best time to view the hosta and woodland gardens is from November until the end of February and we welcome and invite the general public to come and enjoy a visit to the gardens.
Why not get your friends, family, gardening or hobby group together and enjoy an outing to visit the gardens? Entry is free. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the gardens.
As the privacy of our cottage and homestay guests is paramount we would ask that you please telephone first to arrange a mutually suitable time to view the gardens.
