Payment taken now - use the form below to check availability or book your Cromwell accommodation in real time. Bookings will be confirmed instantly and payment of the 10% deposit will be taken from your credit card if the booking is made outside of the 21 days cancellation policy. Bookings made within 21 days of your stay will require full payment to be made at the time of booking.  

Payment via internet banking or other means prior to your stay is also availableplease contact us direct and we will process your booking outside of the SMARTRes system).

Minimum stays apply. We have a no pets policy.

Please note, when booking, click on the Book Accommodation button below, then click on the dates you require and follow the SMARTRes instructions.   You can also include a note to us with your booking  - it's helpful if we know an approximate arrival time and have mobile phone numbers for contact on the day of travel. The Romantic Retreat Package, Breakfasts and Wine and Cheese Hampers must be booked directly with Burn Cottage Retreat by contacting info@burncottageretreat.co.nz.

Self Contained Cottage Accommodation Tariff

Rascal CottageRascal and Moonlight Cottages:

Each of these cottages has one king size bed only.

Cottage only:

Between NZ$235 and $265 per cottage for two persons (GST inclusive)

Minimum stay 1 night between 1st May and 31st October.

Minimum Stay 3 nights between 24th December and 7th January

Minimum Stay 2 nights all other times of the year unless by prior arrangement

Single night stays between 1st November and 30th April may incur a surcharge of NZ$50.00 per night.

Special Rate of NZ$235.00 per night for two people for a minimum 3 night stay. Excludes Christmas/New Year and Easter.

Wine and Cheese Hamper on Arrival $75.00 
Continental Breakfast Hamper:

NZ$40.00 Includes homemade muesli and preserves, local juice and free range eggs fpr guests to cook in their preferred style in there well equipped cottage.

NB: Please email direct to info@burncottageretreat.co.nz should you wish to take the option of the Wine and Cheese Hamper or Breakfast as they cannot be booked via the SMART booking system above.

Celebration Cottage bedroomCelebration Cottage:

One king size bed and one king single bed, both in the same room, next to one another.  This cottage also has special access facilities and a wet floor shower area. Maximum number of guest is 3.

Cottage only:

As per Rascal and Moonlight based on two persons.

Additional Guests:

$50.00 per night, per person 

$40.00 per night, per person for three nights or more. Discounted prices excludes Christmas/New Year and Easter periods.

Continental Breakfast Hamper:

NZ$40.00  Includes homemade muesli and preserves, local juices and free range eggs which guests can cook any style they prefer in their fully equipped kitchen.  Delivered the evening before for your convenience. (GST inclusive)

All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include NZ Goods and Services tax.

General Terms

Check in time: From 2.00pm-8.00pm (or by prior arrangement)
Check out time: 10.30am Summer  (1 October to 30 April)
11.00am Winter     (1 May to 30 September)

It is so quiet here, many people sleep in past checkout time (and that's the whole point of relaxing isn't it??)

Later checkouts available by prior arrangement. Please advise us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Booking Terms and Conditions

 Guest Mountain Bikes and LaundryBookings can be confirmed by either processing your booking via our SmartRes booking system above or by contact us direct by phone or email.  A deposit of 10% will be requested at the time of booking.

We accept VISA or Mastercard credit card payments and also internet banking or cash.

Alternatively, there are ATM machines available in Cromwell, 3km away.

Reservation Requirements

In order to confirm a booking, we need you to supply us with your Visa or Mastercard details to enable the 10% deposit.

Please Note:  Your card will not be charged before you arrive. It will however be charged for a late cancellation or failure to show.

Cancellation Policy

Burn Cottage Retreat is a small business and cancellations have a significant impact.

If a reservation is cancelled within 21 days of your stay, 100% of the total accommodation booking charge will apply.

Failure to show for booked accommodation will also be charged at the full rate.

Please note, if we are able to re-sell the accommodation you had booked with us, no charge will be made.

We do recommend our guests purchase travel insurance to protect against any costs incurred as a result of unforeseen changes to their travel plans.
